I definitely liked her and found myself wanting the best for her so there were wishd that I felt frustrated by the choices she made. Cue the mother of all meltdowns. The witty writing style was something that really jumped out at me with this book and it happened pretty much straight away. Top Reviews Most recent Top Reviews. I would actually really enjoy a sequel, simply because all of the characters are so funny, Lisa, Tanya, Norman, Bette the cat. It didn’t really serve much purpose to me, to be honest. I just wish the author would have cut out some of the nonsense stories a,y the first half and spent a little more time on the ending.

This is a matter that the majority of relationships will go through at some point or another and its at this time that you really need to take a deeper look at what is important for you. This has to have been one of the best books I’ve ever read.

Wanted to like this but unfortunately it was like reading whilst on speed – frenetic and jumpy pacing. I Wished For You is funny, no, hilarious, romantic and indulgent. Just when you get into the rhythm of the story, here comes Huberman with another cutesy memory of Grace’s, another “gosh, aren’t we fun!
I didn’t find anything about her enduring or likeable. It was predictable, but not in a bad way.

There are some genuinely funny moments that had me chuckling away to myself and the description of the clothing in the vintage store is pretty fantastic. Yet another gorgeous read from Ireland. If you are looking for an interesting story with a strong main character I would pass on this one. I loved the relationship between Juberman and her sister Tanya, and the relationship between Grace and Bette the cat — it was really quite fun, and amusing to read about.
There are some fun, quirky characters in this book that made it very entertaining. Recommend for any girls out there looking for a giggle! However, I must sadly confess that I put down this book never to pick it up again after about a fifty or so pages.
